Sandy’s First Day of Kindergarten

Sandy woke up one morning extremely nervous because today is her first day of Kindergarten. She was even more nervous because her mom is on a business trip.
She heard her dad’s footsteps coming from the stairs, “Sandy, it's time to get up, I got your favorite, Honey nut Cheerios.” Says her dad. “Oh yay! Thanks Papa!” Sandy said. Sandy’s dad was born in Hawaii and his family is from Mexico. Sandy calls him Papa. She headed down the stairs nervous for her first day but determined to have a great day.

After breakfast Sandy headed back upstairs to brush her teeth. She called up her dad once she was done and said “Will you put my hair into braids please Papa?”  “Sure sweetie,” He said in return. Once he was  done it looked amazing! Afterwards, Sandy headed downstairs  and hopped in the car. The car ride was only 5 minutes long  so it didn't take too long to get to  the school.

Once they arrived, her dad said “Have a good day sweety, I’ll pick you  up at  2:00pm. I  love you!” “Love you to papa, bye-bye” Sandy hopped out of the car, and decided that this would be a terrifying day!
