Teaching Assistants and After School Care Teachers

The Magellan International School (Colegio Internacional de Magallanes) in Austin, Texas, is seeking Teacher Assistants and After School Care Teachers. Our rapidly growing multi-cultural school has a Spanish immersion, dual language academic program (English-Spanish) that follows the International Baccalaureate Primary Years Program (PYP).

We are looking for dynamic, inspirational educators with a minimum of one year experience as teacher assistants and/or after school care teachers. Teachers must be fully bilingual (Spanish native speakers a plus). It is essential to be a team player and be willing to engage in curriculum development.

Professional Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree (Degree in elementary education or early childhood development preferred)
• A minimum of one year experience in working with early childhood and/or elementary aged students
• Experience with inquiry-based, activity-based, and hands-on learning
• Experience with using a multi-cultural approach to promote learning
• Ability to create a stimulating classroom environment
• Ability to utilize the local context and environment to enhance learning
• Ability to work with parents
• Ability to teach in Spanish and English
