Valeria Payton, English (Grades Pre-Primary 3 through Kindergarten) & Art (All Grades)

Valeria was born in Mexico City. She has an undergraduate degree in Early Child Education from the Universidad Autonoma de Aguascalientes and started off her career in education in the year 2000 while working under the guidance of Dinorah Pous, a well known author of ESL text books and founder of the Colegio Bosques in Mexico City, now an IB school. Valeria spent five years there as an elementary teacher and then relocated to Austin. She is currently completing her Master's Degree in Education from the Instituto Technologico y de Estudios Superiores de Monterrey (ITESM).

Valeria is the mother of two children and is passionate about education for young children. From an early age she has recognized the power of influence and advocates attentiveness to the individual needs of each child. She lives her life with a keen sense of social responsibility in order to bring about the best in herself and others.

Valeria seeks to be an agent of educational change and someone who promotes learning in all contexts and ages. She is delighted to be part of the learning community at The Magellan International School and is particularly enthusiastic about working in a collaborative fashion with the team of teachers at the school.
