Uniforms

All children at MIS are required to wear the school uniform. The school uniform is part of the value system of the school. Its intent is to create an environment where the children, and not what they are wearing, are the focus and that children build community through a common norm. Children at MIS can chose from two different colored tops: powder blue and light yellow. They can select a color on any given day based on their own preference. This gives children a sense of empowerement and allows them to express themselves while still maintaining the school community's uniform norm.

The tops are cotton polo shirts and are available in short sleeve and long sleeve versions and include the school logo embroidered on the front left side. Bottoms are navy blue and include shorts, pants, and skirts. Jackets with the school logo and other accessories (socks, hair bands, etc.) are also available.

Providing a cheerful learning environment for the children is of utmost importance at MIS. We focus on education that motivates the children and fuels their intellectual development in a joyful environment. Our choice of colors reflects this objective.

Uniforms can be ordered through French Toast. Use MIS' school code, QS5PNZF, when making purchases and this will result in up to a 5% donation to the school!

Yellow is the color of sunshine. It is associated with happiness, joy, energy and intellect. It produces a warming effect, arouses cheerfulness, stimulates mental activity, and generates muscle energy.

Light blue is associated with tranquility, understanding, and softness while dark blue represents knowledge, power, integrity, and seriousness.
