Multicultural & Diverse
Community

A multicultural community is instrumental to our mission and a fundamental part of a Magellan education. As an International Baccalaureate World School, we help students understand and value differences across the globe. Developing skills that transcend cultures is foundational in the Magellan classroom and reinforces our identity as a secular (non-religiously affiliated) school.
We celebrate and value the diversity of our students and their families, our faculty and administration, our alumni and of the communities of which we are a part. We believe we are made richer by the range of perspectives, talents, identities and experiences across these differing backgrounds.

Our school is committed to diversity and inclusion and proud to educate a student body that’s 53% Asian, Black, Hispanic and multiethnic.
International Festival
Each year, the entire Magellan community celebrates the diversity of our world at the International Festival with educational activities, performances, food and games.
Celebrating All Families
Our school welcomes all types of families. The preschool community celebrates ALL families at Magellan during our Spring Family Day celebration.
Cultures & Traditions
Inside and outside the classroom, our community learns about traditions such as Holi, Día de los Muertos, Chinese New Year and more.
Taking Social Justice Action
Through community events such as Stop Hunger Now and student research and service projects, we learn individually and together about our responsibility to advocate for justice and equality.
