International Baccalaureate

The International Baccalaureate (IB) is non-profit educational foundation offering respected programmes of international education that develop the intellectual, personal, emotional and social skills needed to live, learn and work in a rapidly globalizing world. As an IB World School, Magellan:

“prepares students to become active, caring, lifelong learners who demonstrate respect for themselves and others and have the capacity to participate in the world around them. It focuses on the development of the whole child as an inquirer, both within and beyond the classroom.”

At The Magellan International School, we offer the Primary Years Programme through our Preschool and Primary School (ages 3 through 5th grade) as well as the Middle Years Programme (6th through 8th grade). While not currently offered at our school at this time, the IB also offers the Middle Years Programme in the 9th and 10th grade years and the Diploma Programme (aligned with 11th and 12th grade in the US).
