We think our preschool teachers are special and different than what you’ll find in a traditional daycare because they:
- Are highly educated. Each teacher has a minimum of a Bachelor’s degree, and a number hold a Master’s degree or specialty certification. One of our preschool teachers and our Head of Preschool are global IB consultants and workshop leaders.
- Are experienced and dedicated to our school. The average years of teaching experience for our classroom teachers (lead teachers and teacher assistants) is 17 years! And they’re committed to our school and students, with an average tenure of 4 years at MIS.
- Represent a diversity of backgrounds. Home countries of our teachers include Mexico, Venezuela, Colombia, Peru and Argentina. Every teacher loves to share his or her traditions with our students which is a special part of our identity as an International Baccalaureate World School.
- Have fun with our kiddos and with each other. The each bring a love of teaching and a love of kids to the classroom every day. They celebrate our student’s success with a high five or hug and comfort them in times of sadness, nurture their curiosity and inspire their budding passions.
