Our community of families is a wonderful representation of diversity in our world, and we welcome all types of families at our school.

A special common link between our parents is the strong commitment to an exceptional, well-rounded education and a desire to prepare children for an uncertain future. Every year, family members volunteer thousands of hours at MIS, whether its to read to a class, share expertise in a classroom as a Subject Matter Expert, chaperone a field trip, support an event, plan movie nights, etc. The value of these contributions to our school community is beyond measure.

Whether you work in technology, run a local non-profit, teach at a school or university, own a business, serve as CEO of your household, practice your professional globally or passionately advocate for others, you’ll find friends at MIS. There is an undercurrent of entrepreneurial spirit across the entire community as we believe in power to change the world by educating one global citizen at a time.

Every fall, The Magellan International School community gathers for its International Festival. The festival, hosted by MISPA, is an incredibly fun day of games, customs, food, music and entertainment (including a talent show) from all over the world. Whether you’re a current MIS family, thinking about our school for the future or just in the neighborhood, you’re invited to join us!

Families in our community come from all over the world. While some have family and friends close by, others have extended family, close friends or are are simply building their support network. Enter Grand Day! Grandparents as well as special friends, extended family or parents are invited to join their child to celebrate all of the “Grand” people in our community. And no child is left out – if you don’t have someone who can attend, we’ll make sure your child is adopted and embraced by another family for the day.
