ATA Martial Arts – Krav for Kids MYP Program
ATA Martial Arts – Krav for Kids MYP Program
Description: KRAV MAGA FOR KIDS: TAP INTO THE ULTIMATE IN KID’S SELF DEFENSE TRAINING. Empower your kids by having them train in the most effective self-defense system in the world. Are you looking for a fitness activity for your child that can also help them defend themselves in the real world?
We understand how many challenges you face as a parent, raising a child in the modern world. What if your child could get in shape, but also learn how to protect themselves in the unfortunate case they might find themselves in danger? Even if they are confident in their self-defense skills, what if they had the AWARENESS SKILLS to size up a situation before it ever takes place? Krav Maga is a unique program that truly teaches Self Defense for the Real World.
Krav Maga is not a traditional martial art. No katas. No rituals. Based on simple principles and instinctive movements, this reality-based system is designed to teach real self-defense in the shortest possible time. Our Kids Krav Maga program takes all the traditionally taught martial arts strategies and self-defense techniques and applies them to real-world situations.
Krav combines techniques from boxing, savate, Muay Thai, Wing Chun, Judo, Jiu-Jitsu, wrestling, and grappling.
The primary goal of Krav Maga is to neutralize the threat as quickly and efficiently as possible. There is very little fighting etiquette to learn and an emphasis is placed on being able to react out of instinct with proper self-defense & attack moves during any physical confrontation.
We do all this while building confidence, developing life skills, and most importantly having FUN!

Danzversity Just Dance Mini Co-Op Series
Danzversity Class Information and Details: Just Dance
Our main purpose in our classes are to help children create, build confidence, learn how to communicate and listen and to instill a sense of community using dance to help us.
More than ever, children have been through so much and need this outlet to release all the worries and stressors in their bodies. Movement heals! The dance experience in our After School Co-Op focuses on each student’s sense of self awareness in their own body and their ability to hone in on social skills like empathy, collaboration, reflection and fun in order to create together as a group.
In our After School Dance experience, we’ll use dance games, discussions, and diversity of movement and music to instill a sense of confidence and inclusivity. Within our group we will activate your child’s innate, organic movement while exploring a diversity of styles like Hip Hop, Latin, Caribbean styles and more. It’s just a fun afterschool worry free dance class!!! Let’s Dance!

Mad Science Junior: Forces of Science
Mad Science Junior: Forces of Science
Young scientists will encounter the world of physical science in a fun, hands-on environment that incorporates Texas standards. Join Mad Science for an amazing session with a new topic each week! Forces of Science will include the following topics: Current Events, Fun-damental Forces, Fantastic Flyers, Super Structures, Under Pressure and the Science of Magic. Exploration will continue at home with a take home project each class. Join the fun and become a “Mad Scientist”!
Following is a description of each class. The classes will not be taught in order, but all topics will be covered during the program!
Under Pressure – Join Bernoulli and Newton as we take this exciting look at the science behind aerodynamics and the properties of air…under pressure. Use a vortex generator to create air pockets with a punch, and levitate ping-pong balls in defiance of gravity.
Che-mystery- Eliminate the mystery in chemistry! Explore one of the most exciting and fundamental sciences as you discover crazy chemical indicators and radical reactions.
“Current” Events – Take a tour on the electron freeway! Conductors, insulators, transistors, and other elements in the world of circuit electricity introduce themselves to you via the tingle in your fingertips and the twinkle in your eye.
“Fun”-damental Forces” – Gravity…Inertia…Centripetal force…who could ever imagine that an introduction to physics could be so much fun? We’ll experience these awesome forces for ourselves and build some cool devices to watch them at work.
Wacky Water – Create your own deep sea diver bottle while learning about water, waves and the environment. Simulate the effects of an ocean oil spill and develop creative techniques to clean it up.
Science of Magic – Magic? No…it’s science! You’ll learn the secrets behind famous magic that you can recreate for yourself! Mother nature has some tricks of her own, and we’d like to show you what’s up her sleeve.
Fantastic Flyers – The Wright Brothers would be proud as we follow in their footsteps and learn the fundamental principles of flight. Build a “football” glider, control surfaces and your very own loop-flying stunt plane. You’ll be a Top Gun after this class.
Super Structures – Discover the strengths of triangles, cylinders and arches. Learn how combinations of these shapes make for sturdy homes and skyscrapers! Use teamwork to build your own super structures as well as an earthquake-proof building.
