Through partners, a variety of after-school activities are offered on a semester basis. These programs offer once/week activities that allow students to further develop interest in, from flamenco to coding, from drones to tennis, or from art to martial arts!

ATA Martial Arts with Master Palacios

Enroll your child in an enriching, fun after school program! We teach the same values you teach at home, in a positive, safe, and fun environment.
The foundation of our martial arts curriculum is the education and development of life-skills such as positive mental attitude, high goal setting, perseverance, self-control, and confidence. With these ideas always at the forefront of their training, students will learn to effectively defend themselves with physical skill learned in the arts of Taekwondo, Krav Mage, Judo and Kali.
There are 2 class options for Magellan families; Tigers, ages 3-6 or Martial Arts Kids (MAK), ages 6-14. We also offer class on Saturday mornings from 9:00 to 12:00 p.m.
In addition until our younger community can get vaccinated, we continue to offer Zoom classes on Monday, Wednesday, and Saturday.

Austin Music Explorations
Austin Music Explorations is proud to be entering our 6th school year partnering with Magellan. We offer 1-on-1 music lessons, including PIANO, GUIDAR, SINGING, and SONGWRITING. Classes are onceper week for 30 minutes, culminating in an end-of-semester online concert.

Chess Wizards Online Club
Enter into the magical and exciting world of Chess Wizards Online! You will participate in epic chess games, fun and interactive lessons, tournaments, team matches, trivia, and more! Our specialized classes are a blast for everyone, 1st grade through 6th. Whether you have been playing chess for your entire life and want to improve, are brand new to the game, or just want to have a fun experience with your friends – Chess Wizards is the place for you!
Classes are offered through zoom and chesskid.com for a virtual chess board. Kids to not need any chess gear to participate.
We offer several chess skill levels.
We keep our maximum at 6 kids per zoom classroom, and 4 is a minimum. Classes are designed for 1st-6th students, or 6-12 year olds.

Preschool Dance Combo: Storytime Ballet, Jazz, Tap, and Creative Movement!
This whole dance class is a story from beginning to end incorporating age appropriate skills in ballet, jazz, creative movement, and tap. The dance class begins with a ballet story and then students repeat the ballet skills once more in the same order to traditional music. The story engages them on their level allowing them to learn more skills because they are actively focused for a longer period of time. The class then moves onto jazz, creative movement, and ends with tap.

Flamenco – Preschool
This is the class for our youngest age group and focuses on Flamenco movements and music, and most of all, making sure everyone has a great time It’s a perfect way to spend a Saturday morning! This class will be offered on ZOOM.

FLAMENQUITOS II Ages 5/7 (Saturdays 9:35-10:20am)
This class is an extension of the flamequitos class, but is a little longer, requiring more focus on their part, but of course they will get more out of it as well! Help set your little ones on a path filled with dance and music! Zapateado (footwork), Braceo (arms), Floreo (hands) and Compas/Palmas (rhythms and clapping).
FLAMENQUITOS III Ages 7/11 (Saturdays 10:25-11:10am)
This class will cover all of the general technique of flamenco Zapateado (footwork), Braceo (arms), Floreo (hands), Compas/Palmas (rhythms and clapping) and Castanets. Students will work on placement as well as full choreographies.
Foodie Kids celebrates over 25 years of teaching kiddos how to cook, providing innovative recipes, diverse ingredients, and professional culinary instructors.
Cooking and baking are lifelong skills that everyone should have. When kids cook for themselves or involved in the process in some capacity, they try a larger variety of foods and are more accepting of different ones they would typically reject.
Each week we offer cooking classes for 4-8 year olds on Tuesday and Competitive cooking classes for 9+ on Thursdays. Different themes and recipes each week make learning fun as we go over the basics of cooking and get comfortable using kitchen equipment and knives.
In person classes offered at our Far West site (3818 Far West Blvd, Suite 107).
Is your daughter interested in Girl Scouts? Whether she’s exploring nature and the outdoors, expressing herself through art or music, designing robots or board games, or helping her community through service projects, she’ll have a blast as she earns badges in just about anything that piques her interest. Open to girls in Kindergarten and older, Girl Scouts is the best leadership experience for girls in the world, created specifically with and for girls.

Idea Lab Kids Virtual Workshops
Idea Lab Virtual Workshops are 4 weeks long, and cover a wide variety of STEM subjects. Some classes will only require a laptop and software, others will require a aupply kit, to be picked up at our facility. Virtual Workshops are designed for grade 2nd-3rd or 4th-6th. Students can learn about about topics from coding and engineering, to minecraft and 3D printing!
iPianoLab Keyboard Clubs are the fresh, fun way to learn piano or keyboard, ONLINE! While most traditional methods focus on months of drills and boring “baby” tunes before a students gets to play real music, iPianoLab teaches kids the keyboard basics on engaging songs they really like! Imagine Dragons, Spongebob, Super Mario Bros, Star Wars, Havana, Old Town Road, Dance Monkey, and even Bach and Beethoven are all in reach, right from the first lesson! iPianoLab puts the emphasis on student accomplishment, and a child who likes practicing is a child who can make rapid progress on the instrument!
And iPianoLab isn’t just fun, but a comprehensive course that teaches ALL the keyboard basics in a fast paces, interactive small group setting. We’ve been doing online lessons for years and our innovative, easy-to-understand VISUAL approach lends itself PERFECTLY to online learning in a small group with both our live iPianoLab Instructors AND our virtual lesson library!

Jazz Band Camp with Mr. Carlos
Do you want to play music together again?
In this course, we will have a lesson per week where we can rehearse our music repertoire. These are not private lessons for learning instruments; Each student has the opportunity to share their expertise and play together as a band! Every class, we will work on our songs, overcome obstacles, and prepare a great concert at the end of May!

Mad science is the leading science enrichment provider for children in pre-kindergarten through grade 5. Puppet’s House Experience
Puppet’s house experience includes international stories and legends in Spanish. Students will explore tales and songs in Spanish, puppet techniques, and some crafts for stories. This activity improves self-expression, motor skills, imagination, creativity, writing, and speaking. All this while there are having fun! The activities are taught in Spanish.

We have applied our 40+ years of experience providing quality youth sports experiences to create a diverse collection of virtual programs! Children can participate from the safety of their own home across three exciting categories: Mind and Body, Staying Active, and Supertots at Home.
Classes are available for ages 3 – 9 in a variety of sports and activities. All classes will be held through Zoom, and a list of equipment and materials will be sent out prior to the program’s start date. Come check it out!
