Hillary Flora

Bull Creek Campus Nurse, BSN, RN
Hillary is a holistic nurse committed to providing compassionate, evidence-based, and trauma-informed care. With deep roots in Austin’s health and wellness community, she brings a diverse background, having previously served as a licensed massage therapist, registered yoga instructor, meditation teacher, anatomy educator, and private vegan chef.

Hillary holds a Bachelor of University Studies in Philosophy and Religious Studies from the University of New Mexico and a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Fairfield University. She is currently pursuing her Master of Science in Nursing as a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner at Texas State University.

Before joining The Magellan International School, Hillary worked as a nurse at St. David’s South Austin Medical Center. She views her role as a school nurse as a unique opportunity to promote the physical and mental well-being of the entire Magellan community.

A proud mother of two Navigators—Ziya (6th grade) and Ione (3rd grade)—Hillary has been a Magellan parent since 2021. She is thrilled to now serve the school as a nurse and health advocate.

Outside of work, Hillary enjoys hiking Austin’s greenbelts, befriending every dog she meets, reading memoirs, and exploring arts and crafts. She and her husband, Ben, have been vegan for nearly two decades and love discovering new plant-based eateries around the city.
