THE California Fires of 2025

In January of 2025, several large wildfires were reported in California and said to be immensely large and incredibly dangerous. Some have been explained and some still remain a mystery.

1) The Eaton Fire:
The Eaton fire was reported starting on January 7, 2025 and contained on January 31, 2025. It destroyed approximately 14,021 acres of land and caused immense structural and financial damage in Altadena and Pasadena.

2) Palisades Fire:

This fire coincided with the Eaton fire, starting on January 7 and ending by January 31. It destroyed as much as 23,448 acres of land and was also recorded to be one of the most hazardous and destructive fires in California history.

3)The Kenneth Fire:
This fire began on the 9 of January and was contained on the 12. It was not very hazardous but still burned around 1,052 acres.

4) The Hughes Fire:
The Hughes fire started on January 22 and was contained on January 30. It burned near Castaic Lake and caused major evacuations but did not destroy much land or crops.

5) Border 2 Fire:
It was first reported on January 23 and was finally contained on January 30. It burned 6,625 acres in the Otay Mountain Wilderness.

There were many other fires in LA, sadly leading to several deaths, but these were the most destructive and historic fires in several years.

That was your update on the natural disasters in the world (specifically in California), coinciding all in January of 2025. The only way to prevent this from happening again is learning the most you can about its causes, consequences, and preventative measures.
